English, at the all-star shootout

Machine-gun English!
Carl English is one of the keys at the Asefa Estudiantes pre-season ames. He averages 17,3 ppg and shows he can be a major offensive threat of the new Estu, as he were with other teams of the League Endesa.

Fans appreciated that and he ‘Captain Canada’ had a large trade range at the popular ACB.com’s Supermanager. More than 25.000 online teams bid on him!   We have seen his scores, lay-ups and long-distance shooting and now… it’s the contest time. He’ll face the best three-pointers at the Liga Endesa. Because he was selected for the all-star 3-point shootout for the season opening. It’ll take part next Wednesday 26th Sept at the HQ of main sponsor Endesa.   Against him the very best of the gunners: Sergiy Gladyr (Mad-Croc Fuenlabrada), defending 2010 champion, Rudy Fernández (Real Madrid) and Rafa Martínez (Valencia Basket Club), one of the young specialists from last season as Alberto Corbacho (Blusens Monbus), buzzer-beater at-the-limits as Javi Salgado (Lagun Aro GBC), or veterans at the shooting as Kostas Vasileiadis (Gescrap Bizkaia Bilbao Basket) or Chad Toppert (CAI Zaragoza).   Our canadian captain will make his official league debut four days later at the Palacio de los Deportes. We expect he’ll show his shooter title off everyone at the Estudiantes court!   Dunking doo-nuts Season opening at Liga Endesa includes a slam dunk contest. There defender, Tomas Satoransky (Cajasol) aspires to enter a double as old glories as David Russell, Chandler Thompson or Mickaël Gélabale. New kids on the dunking block are Marcus Slaughter (Real Madrid), labelled the more spectacular player of last season, James Gist (Unicaja) with his dunking background at Turkey or Serbia leagues, or the Internet-favourite jumps from Alhaji Mohammed (Blancos de Rueda Valladolid) and Charles García (Mad-Croc Fuenlabrada).
